Art to the people of Delhi!

The Festival '48 degrees Celcius' is a combined initiative of Gõthe Institute and Max Müller Bhavan and GTZ. Through a number of art interventions in various public spaces around Delhi, the Festival hopes to trigger the public’s critical awareness of urban development, environment and beauty.

The Festval takes place from 12th – 21st December. The Public Art Ecology’s artistic director is Ms. Pooja Sood, a well known art curator in New Delhi. Ms. Sood is also the Director of KHOJ International Artists’ Association, an independent organisation that promotes intercultural understanding among artists through exchange. The Festival will have a varied program both for the public and for experts.

The Norwegian architect, Ms. Frederica Miller from Gaia Architects, will be one of the speakers at a Symposium during the Festival. Ms. Miller has recently spoken about how “conscious construction” can help prevent climate change. She has claimed that we by ecological awareness and change of life style can turn the evil circle of climate change back to the enjoyment of our beautiful planet.

As part of the Norwegian Embassy’s effort to focus on architecture and environment, we are happy to support this Symposium.
