The event combined the book release with readings in Hindi by Ms. Teji Grover. The poetry- / musical evening was inaugurated by Norway’s Ambassador to India, Ms. Ann Ollestad. A collection of Hauge’s poetry has been translated into Hindi by Rustam Singh (for Vani Prakashan Publishers).

Unni Løvlid is one of the most exciting contemporary Norwegian folk singers. She blends traditional folk music with elements from Electronica and World Music. Unni with her band visit India in connection with a larger Asia-Tour commemorating the centennial of Olav H. Hauge’s birth.

Before Delhi, the band performed at Bharat Bhavan in Bhopal. In cooperation with Spic Macay, they will also have concerts at Sanskriti School and Greenfield School, New Delhi on December 16 and 17.
