Presentation of Credentials by H.E. Ms. Ann Ollestad, Ambassador of Norway to India
H.E. Ms. Ann Ollestad, Ambassador of Norway, today presented her Letter of Credence to H.E. Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, President of the Republic of India and has taken up her assignment as Ambassador.
Ambassador Ollestad is the first Lady Ambassador to present her Letter of Credence to the First Lady President of the Republic of India.
The Ambassador is married to Mr. Geir Falkenberg and has two children. She brings to her assignment extensive experience in different fields, having served with the Norwegian Foreign Service over the past 20 years.
She is taking over her important post as Ambassador to India at a time when Indo-Norwegian relations are strengthening and expanding in key areas at the Government level, in the commercial sector and other fields where Norway and India have mutual interests.
