Indo-Norwegian conference on social conflict

Norway and India have entered into an agreement on cooperation in the areas of fisheries and aquaculture. “Our long-term ambition is that India will be a major new market for Norwegian fish,” Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said today, after signing the agreement during his official visit to New Delhi.

Norwegian Minister of the Environment and International Development Mr. Erik Solheim and his Indian colleague Jairam Ramesh signed the agreement during the Delhi High Level Conference on Climate Change: Technology development and Transfer on the 22nd of October.

On 16 June political consultations were held between India and Norway in Delhi's elegant Hyderabad House. As representatives from the two ministries of foreign affairs met in the Nizam of Hyderabad's old residence, a variety of important issues were discussed.

Indian, Norwegian and international guests enjoyed an evening of Norwegian creativity at the Residence of the Norwegian Ambassador to India on Thursday. More than 300 invited guests - from artists to CEOs and policy makers - had gathered to experience Norwegian fashion design, music and art of cooking.
