The Ambassador also met with the Norwegian project manager of the new international Airport coming up in Hyderabad. Norway has won the design for the new international airport that is being built in Hyderabad.

Ambassador Ollestad meets Mr. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman & Managing Director, Reliance Industries Ltd.

The state of AP is now witnessing a strong increase in oil and gas activities. This is mainly due to the big gas finding in the Bay of Bengal and off the coast of Andhra Pradesh, creating interesting new business activities for offshore service providers. Norwegian companies, with their North Sea offshore experience are strongly welcomed to establish business activities. On the other hand, cultural life is thriving in the state, and many new and exciting projects are planned.

A good personal contact with various persons and organisations have laid a good foundation for a further follow up from the Embassy, both in  the cultural as well as the commercial sector.
