The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Torfinn Kildal, President & CEO of Kongsberg Maritime AS, Norway and other distinguished guests from Norway, Singapore and India. The Ambassador expressed her pleasure in the launching of Norwegian business ventures in India which would strengthen the ties between India and Norway.

The occasion also witnessed a grand reception at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Apollo Bunder which was well attended by high-ranking officers and dignitaries in the shipping industry. Live music by a Norwegian band called 'Something Sally' was performed during the evening.
The company began operations on September 1, 2008 with the aim of providing enhanced customer support and Logistic support for Kongsberg products such as Dynamic Positioning Systems, Automation/Vessel control, Integrated Navigation systems, etc. in India and neighboring countries.
The office of the new company is situated in Navi Mumbai and manned by competent service engineers who have been trained at the Head Office in Norway. It has a full-fledged set up with trained engineers who are capable of providing support in Project Engineering, Installation, Commissioning, and After Sales Support for equipment supplied by Kongsberg Maritime, Norway.
