Last updated: 07/12/2010 // For the first time a Tamil blockbuster film has been shot in some of Norway's most stunning locations and UNESCO heritage sites.

K. V. Anand directed a song sequence for his upcoming thriller Ko featuring some of Norway's most stunning locations and UNESCO heritage sites, such as the Bergen harbour, Gudvangen, Prekestolen and the Troll Tongue. The chartbusting song sequence, tuned by Harris Jayaraj, is picturized on Jeeva and Radha's daughter Karthika.

Anand, who is very particular to shoot in never seen before locations, discovered the spectacular beauty of the Norwegian fjords and mountains and was soon to contact Western Norway Film Commission to find the ideal locations. The film commission offers free services to major productions eyeing to shoot in the fjords on the west coast of Norway.

Ko is an action thriller, and revolves around the story of a photo journalist and his face-off with various characters. The film is produced by Kumar for R. S. Infotainment, and will be distributed by Red Giant Movies. Ko is rumored to premiere in Chennai on January 14th 2011.

K. V. Anand rose to fame with his second film, Ayan (2009), which became a blockbuster success and the year's highest-grossing Tamil language film, having collected more than Rs. 75 Crores worldwide. Formerly a cinematographer for a number of major box office hits in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu, Anand won the National Film Award in 1995.

- K. V. Anand has captured some truly amazing locations in Norway, and went to great lengths to get picture-perfect frames from top of cliffs and steep mountains. We are sure Anand again will enthrall the audiences by showing the amazing beauty of Norway. We are very happy to see Norway in Tamil Cinema for the first time, and we hope to welcome more Indian productions to shoot in the region in the future, says Sigmund Elias Holm, director of Western Norway Film Commission.

Production services in Norway for the Indian film crew was provided by Vidar Trellevik for VPB Media.
