Since 2008, The Dramatic Art & Design Academy (DADA) has been responsible for instituting the Delhi Ibsen Theatre Festival as a Calendar Event, which takes place in December each year, under the auspices of the Norwegian Embassy. DADA is now making preparations for the second Delhi Ibsen Festival in December 2009.

From December 2008 an annual Ibsen Festival will take place in New Delhi. The Royal Norwegian Embassy has initiated this Festival in co-operation with Nissar Allana/Dramatic Art & Design Academy (DADA). Allana has a team of Indian Ibsen-experts working closely with him. This year the Festival will contain three Indian Ibsen-productions, two international and a cross-professional seminar.
