Norwegian folk music group Tindra, will tour India from January 28 to February 10, 2007 to perform at various schools and colleges in different parts of the country.
The group will perform at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, New Era Public School and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi on January 31. They will also give concerts in other cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bhopal and Chandigarh, during the School Concert Tour.
The tour is organised jointly by Norwegian Music Institute (Rikskonsertene) and SPIC MACAY. The essence of the cooperation between Spic Macay and Rikskonsertene, is to strengthen the cultural contact between our two countries, build new competence and to communicate through culture across geographical borders. Concerts for children and youth are major activities of both organizations.
The Tindra Trio had their first concerts as students in The Norwegian Academy of Music in 2000. Since then they have been performing in several festivals and concerts in Norway, Belgium, France and Vietnam, and are gaining more and more popularity.
