Public Health Foundation of India strong partner for Norway in India

Norway recently signed an agreement with the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) to provide support for research and policy work.

The Royal Norwegian Embassy, New Delhi will be in contact with all applicants to inform them of the status of the grants by mid June 2009. The RNE with support from NORAD will commence the process of entering into agreements with Indian/Norwegian Institutions for approved/commissioned grants in July 2009.

21 Norwegian and 42 Indian health researchers were brought together in Delhi from 9th to 11th of February. The aim was new bi-lateral reseach collaboration to improve Newborn Child and Maternal Health. The seminar was arranged by the Royal Norwegian Embassy and National Institute of Health and Family Welfare.
