International Summer School in Oslo 2010

University of Oslo (26 June 26 – 6 August)

International Summer School in Oslo offers a variety of courses at undergraduate and graduate level, focusing on various aspects of Norwegian culture and society, as well as international issues. Participants attend daily classes, take examinations and/or write papers, and receive a University of Oslo transcript. Credits will be certified, but accreditation can only be determined by the students’ home institution.

Application deadline: 1 February 2010 (for scholarship applications)


Bergen Summer Research School 

University of Bergen (21 June – 2 July)

The third Bergen Summer Research School will be dedicated to the theme of Global Health in Bio-Medical, Social and Cultural Perspectives.

Norwegian School of Management International Summer Programme
Norwegian School of Management (26 June – 16 July)

Programme features

  • Thorough introduction to Norwegian shipping, software and other industries through guest lectures and company visits
  • Lectures on intercultural management from a Scandinavian/Norwegian perspective
  • Classes on Norwegian life and society, including arts, history, economy and the position of women.

Summer School at Oslo University College 
Oslo University College (28 June – 16 July) 

The International Summer School at Oslo University College offer the following four courses:
  • Globalization, Development and Issues of Inter-Cultural Understanding
  • International Public Health
  • LATINA: Learning and Teaching in a Digital World
  • Philosophy in School

Intensive Norwegian Summer Courses for Exchange Students
Norwegian University of Science and Technology (3 or 4 weeks)

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim offers intensive courses in Norwegian language especially designed for exchange students. This programme is supported by the Erasmus Intensive Language Courses programme (EILC) of the European Commission.
