H.E. Ms Ann Ollestad, Norwegian Ambassador to India visited Mumbai on March 4th to interact with Norwegian business interests in the area.
14/03/2008 :: An afternoon session was organised with representatives from the Norwegian daughter companies where the Embassy presented its work plans for 08, and where the participating 16 company representatives gave their wiews on where the embassy could strenghten their efforts to support Norwegian business in India :
There is clearly a need for financing training programmes for the local Indian workforce. This goes especially for the maritime and oil- and gas sector, but also other programmes could be valuable.
The business community urged for a more structured and efficient flow of information with the Embassy.
The Embassy is now looking at various ways to to improve this.
