 Application for Residence and Work Permit

 Residence and work permit applications for Indian citizens.

Indian Citizens:

For a residence and work permit application, two application forms(GP 7028E) and questionnaire.doc must be filled in using block letters.

Following documents must be enclosed in duplicate along with the application:

  • Two copies of the first two pages and last page of the passport.
  • Two recent passport size photographs (not over six months old) – for your children as well if they are applying. Click here for more details.
  • Two copies of the birth certificate issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths.
  • Two copies of the marriage certificate issued by the Registrar of marriages.
  • Two copies of final education certificate (school/ graduation/post graduation)
  • Two copies of divorce / death certificate.
  • Two copies of offer of employment in case of work permit.
  • Processing fee for the application is Rs.9000- (a demand draft for the amount has to be drawn in favour of Royal Norwegian Embassy, New Delhi - originals with two copies to be submitted with the application). Processing fee is not required for applicants below the age of 18 years.
  • All supporing documents should be submitted in ORIGINAL. The original documents will be returned after attestation.

  • Copy of valid passport
  • Birth Certificate
  • School Certificate from Primary or Middle School, if available Matric Certificate

Additional for:

Fiancee

  • Certificate of bachelorhood / spinsterhood  
  • Divorce Decree or Death Certificate (ex spouse)
  • Processing Fee Rs. 24,600/-

Spouse

  • Marriage Certificate
  • In case of ex-spouse divorce decree or death certificate (ex spouse)
  • Wedding photo of the couple
  • Processing Fee Rs. 24,600/-

Single parent over 60  
 

  • Death Certificate (ex spouse)
  • Divorce Decree (if divorcee)
  • Death Certificate (for any child)
  • Affidavit stating children's position in India and other countries
  • Processing Fee Rs. 24,600/-

Children

  • Consent from parents for travel abroad below the age of 18 years. 
  • Processing fee is not required for applicants below the age of 18 years.

All documents in original.

Documents to be enclosed applications for parents going for a long term stay (upto 9 months)

  • Two copies of the first two pages and last page of the passport.
  • Two recent passport size photographs (not over six months old). Click here for more details.
  • Two copies of sponsorship from the reference in Norway
  • Two copies of the marriage certificate
  • If single; Death Certificate or Divorce Decree
  • List of all children and grand children included name, date of birth and present address.
  • Birth Certificate of the reference in Norway.
  • 2 copies of sponsor’s passport (first and last page)
  • Processing fee for the application is Rs.24,600- (a demand draft for the amount has to be drawn in favor of Royal Norwegian Embassy, New Delhi -,originals with two copies to be submitted with the application).

The original documents enclosed along with the copies will be returned after attestation.

Application for resident, work permits and long term stay for parents will be sent to the Directorate of Immigration in Norway for approval. When the Embassy receives the decision from Norway, the applicant will be informed in writing.

Processing period is 4 to 6 months.

Visa Fees: INR 24,600.-
